Program note
The narrative of the piece is that of a psychophysical memory made of fractures and fissures.
It does not tell a linear story, but rather exposes a constellation of collisions, gestures and resonances that intersect, overlap, fade, interrupt, and leave traces.
Agonies that crash against each other, dense attacks, frictions, distant laments, rips that produce striations, and oneiric-poetic atmospheres – arctic winds and crystalline stalactites – all suggest a kind of escapism within the violence of an unprocessed reality. Some sections are entirely textural; others are precise and violent. Facial expressions are not theatrical, but function as emotional extensions of sound.
