Program note
The fog is dense and dynamic, serving as the scene for a confrontation between agonies and expansive forces. However, this conflict leads to a transformation where the fog becomes a transcendental and ecstatic space. This metamorphosis suggests a turn towards a completely contrasting and, at the same time, possible horizon.
This work functions as an extension of the last movement of the piece “melting… vertical crepuscles” (2023), originally composed for vocal sextet and trio (Ensemble Multilatérale and Les Métaboles). It is structured in three sections:
I. on the glittering canvas
II. torn agonies
III. caresses
