Oltre l’iride (2022 / 24)

German premiere: 5 May 2024, Wittener Tage für neue Kammermusik, Witten, Germany IEMA Ensemble 2023 / 24

This work has evolved through three distinct versions:

First version: Composed for eight instruments (including a second violin) for the IDEA Academy in the context of the Rondò Festival in Moncalvo, Italy 2022, dedicated to the Divertimento Ensemble.

Second version: Developed for the masterclass at Muzički biennale Zagreb (MBZ) 2023 with Klangforum Wien.

Third version: For seven instruments, premiered at Wittener Tage für neue Kammermusik 2024 by the IEMA Ensemble.

Program note
Shy branches grow, slowly cracking the arctic sky deep, insipid, vast. Greyish murmurs caress the impenetrable skin. The warm underwater light allows to hear the stealthy footsteps of the shadows. Petals snow and rest tender on the strands of the frosted valley.
