Program note
This work explores the depersonalization of the performer. It seeks a moment where the musician sheds their formal role, allowing the body and the instrument to merge through the primal act of breathing. By emulating the cycles of breath, the performer dissolves into the sound, moving away from the “self” and evaporating into the turquoise.
