Program note
The narrative of the piece is that of a psychophysical memory made of fractures and fissures. It does not tell a linear story, but rather exposes a constellation of collisions, gestures, and resonances that intersect, overlap, fade, interrupt, and leave traces. Agonies that crash against each other, dense attacks, frictions, distant laments, and rips that produce striations coexist with oneiric-poetic atmospheres—arctic winds and crystalline stalactites—suggesting a kind of escapism within the violence of an unprocessed reality.
Some sections are entirely textural, while others are precise and violent. Facial expressions are not intended to be theatrical, but rather function as emotional extensions of the sound itself.
